[foxboro] gcc and pkgadd

I don't know if you have the software CD that Winston Jenks from Cape
Software did a few years ago. He gave it away for free at the I/A users
group meeting (another great reason to attend). Anyway it has gzip, gcc
and a bunch of other goodies. Also the readme file on the CD tells you how
to do the pkgadd and even builds a spool directory on /opt like Duc just
mentioned so there are no problems with /var running out of space.
Winston used to give away the CD, I don't know if he still does, but heres
