How do we stop the .xwd file from showing up on the dropdown menu?
The .i never appeared.

.i for (icon) is what the default display bar out of the box
references
to display the image on the button.

Anytime you assign on new display to a display bar.. a .xwd gets
created
to display that image on the button.

.xwd file is found in the same dirctory as it's associated .fdf

So, if you went into your /opt/menus/demo directory.
Deleted all .i files
Recalled the Intial_Env
You would see a .xwd get created for every icon button that has a
display attached to it. =

I thought .i was the bitmap file.

We have only used FV and never have had DM.
I copied the .fdf file from another station, .xwd has reappeared.
Our last change to our system was July 06, and this is just now
happening.

Lets try that again....

.xwd files are bitmap files used for displaying the thumbnails on the
FoxView display bar.  FoxViiew automatically creates the thumbnail
bitmaps for any display that is included on the display bar.  If the
bitmaps are deleted, FoxView will create them again when the display
bar
is opened again.

.xwd files are created whenever you call up a Display Manager file in
FoxView. It converts the DM display to FV on the fly.

We have a file that continues to appear.
It is a .xwd file, and is always the same file with as a .fdf file.
Delete it and it returns, reboot and it returns.
