Re: [foxboro] som and rsom

True enough, but output from 1 command could be parsed to set
up the next. This would mean itterative use, and of course
things could change from 1 execution to the next.

What about reading from a pipe, and using 'nawk' and 'getline()'
to feed the 'som' execution? Might have some possibilities.

Also, I tried the redirected input, and 'som' got a fatal error
trying to get terminal characteristics. Apparently the '-i'
option bypasses that.

Problem is if you don't know the lists you want to look at you don't know
the commands to enter.

That's my issue

Input redirection can work too

som <<INPUT
commands
INPUT

'som' does run in a batch type mode...

           som -i<file_name>
        reads input commands from <file_name>.

Output can then be redirected with the '>' character and it
        doesnt look for terminal stuff.

The output is a bit scrambled, but I expect an 'nawk' program
could sort out what you want.

           som -h
prints out a short help menu.

        (I didn't try 'rsom'.)

        Good luck.
