Thanks, you hit the nail on the head on that one.

This part, though seesm to still be a bit problematic.

Heres the equivilant line from a 6.1.2 machine on which mail _is working:

151.128.8.68 AP0550

So, as you can see it _des not_ have this entry. neverthless, I added it to
the "upgraded" AW like this:

151.128.8.66 AW0400 AW0400.

The mail on the machines is sent to an address like stan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
pmail.our_co.com is defined in /etc/hosts on the AW, and I can ping it
using this name. It's the machine that accepts mail from all of our contro
systems, so I know it's OK on that end. So. having started sendmail byt
running /etc/rc2.d/S98sendmail start I tried to send a message to this
address, and got the following in /var/log/syslog:

ug 27 10:15:32 AW0400 sendmail[5916]: KAA05916: from=root, size=267,

Aug 27 10:15:32 AW0400 sendmail[5918]: KAA05918: Saved message in

So, what else might be wrong here?

Again thanks for the prompt reply!
