Re: [foxboro] rsom

Pat:
We have a task called "run_rsom" running from crontab in the
following way:

"run_rsom" file
/opt/fox/bin/tools/rsom -i/opt/pfwork/rsom.cfg -t/opt/pfwork/CP0501.out
>/dev/null

"rsom.cfg" file
CP30
CP0501
opdb

Also, if you want to watch dead list, the following command can be used:

/opt/fox/bin/tools/rsipc -i/opt/pfwork/rsipc_CP0301.cfg
-t/opt/pfwork/CP0301.sal >/dev/null

"rsipc_CP0301.cfg" file

Dear list,
Does anybody know a way to automate rsom?

I tried rsom < input_file but this returns an error message: unable to
determine terminal
input_file is like this:
CP40
4C6001
opdb
f
m opdb
f
.
.
m opdb
f
q

When executing these commands from the interactive rsom it will create a
om.trc file which is then further analysed by a home-made script which will
tell me the 'orphan' lists and their corresponding station (om lists in CP
which should have been closed).
The fact that I can only get rsom to work interactivaly means I still have
to enter the above mentioned commands for each CP manualy which is time
consuming and prone to user error.

I know I've been told not to worry to much about orphan lists in CP's but I
would like to keep things 'clean' if possible.

Any help appreciated!

Kind regards,

P. Martens
