Re: [foxboro] problem with IFDC soft.

Thierry,

I am not an IFDC user, but the content of the error message you received =
seems to indicate that you have hit the IPC (Interprocess Communication) =
limit of your CP10. I think I remember that the CP10 supported a total =
of 17 IPC connections with a maximum of 12 sink or 12 source =
connections. You could try returning some of your WPs to the initial =
display (no data from the CP10 being displayed) in attempt to free up =
IPC connections. I believe that /opt/fox/bin/tools/rsipc would help you =
confirm if your hitting the CP10' IPC limit.

The CP10 had a very limited ability to support simultaneous peer to peer =
communications. It looks like Tom's suggestion to replace your CP10 may =
be very true.

Hi ,
I have been using IFDC soft to upload or download transmitter ( 860DP =
=3D
or IPD10 ...) from a WP51D ( V6.2.1) for several years and now I have a =
=3D
problem only with a CP10 ( V6.1) .

When I try to connect the IFDC to a transmitter of this CP , I read =3D
after several seconds this message :

"Pass through API could not get a connection to the device . IPC reply : =
=3D
c_worevent CLRECEIVE rtn <-4> event <4>=3D20
Return -ipc-reply failed : IFDC didn't get a correct immediate reply on =
=3D
his request ( IPC 1st reply failed) .

It's the same things with all transmitters in this CP ( there are two =
=3D
FBM18 attached on this CP ).

Has anybody an idea ? I would be grateful if you could send me a =3D
suggestion.

I rebooted the WP51D and I made a checkpoint .

I can't make a eeprom update on this FBM because the process is running.
