Re: [foxboro] installing AIM* AT OPC Server Data

The AIM*OPC Server operates properly on the Windows 2003 Server platform.
The setup required to communicate with an OPC client running locally on the
same server is quite straightforward but you will have a more complex setup
if the OPC clients are located somewhere else in the network.

This increased complexity is due to the increased security introduced around
DCOM with SP1 for W2K3 and SP2 for XP.

Subject: [foxboro] installing AIM* AT OPC Server Data

Dear all,
As already written I am going to install AIM* AT OPC server in the same
machine with an APC. The specifications the APC say OK for win 2003 server
platform whereas the specification for OPC say OK for Win NT and 2000.
My question is: have you ever been involved in an installation of AIM* AT
OPC server in a win 2003 server platform?

Thank you.

Daniele
