From Foxboro document B0400CN, section 1.2.3.1:
1.2.3.1 V6.4 Day 0 Installation on a WP51D
Upon completion of “ia_install”, and prior to rebooting the WP51D station, type
the following if
your station does not contain a PGX32 video card:
NOTE
Do not type the following commands if a PGX32 video card for a second video
head is installed on your WP51D station.
mount /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 /mnt
cp /cdrom/name_to_major /mnt/etc
umount /mnt
If you do not know what type of video card is installed for the second video
head, type the following
at the command prompt when the WP51D is booted from the CD-ROM:
# prtconf -v |grep TSI
♦ If the PGX32 card is present in your system, the system responds with a
message similar
to the following:
TSI,gfxp, instance #0
This message indicates that you do not need to copy the “name_to_major” file
from
the CD-ROM.
♦ If any other message appears, your WP51D has a PGX24 or PGX64 video card
installed, and you must copy the “name_to_major” file from the CD-ROM, as
described above.

Subject: [foxboro] ia_install issue V 6.2 V6.5
Dear Experts,
We have SUN ultra5 station with WP51D. we are facing problem in installation of
DAY0 ia_install of Version 6.2 and version 6.5;after ia_install from Day0 CD it
completes the process and when we reboot the system it gives the following
messages and comes at "ok" prompt
Warning: /usr/sbin/fsck not found. Most likely the mount of /usr failed or the
/usr filesystem is badly damaged. The system is being halted. Either reinstall
the system or boot with -b option in an attempt to recover.
syncing file systems... done
program terminated
ok
we have tried ia_install on different HDD multilple times with same result,
Hard disk is Seagate U8 model ST38410A 8.6GB.
Kindly suggest possible solution for this problem.
Thank you,
regards,
