Re: [foxboro] how to prevent IOBAD during PT online calibration

Hi Ainuddin,
If it's for calibration purposes you can get rid of the IOBAD by setting
the IOMOPT to 0 or 2. This means the block is no longer connected to the
field measurement and you can enter a safe value in the meas.

another thing we do if we have ie 2 measurements, and one of the 2 needs
calibrating we tie the good one to the meas of the bad one and set the
iomopt of the bad one to 2, this way both measurements seem ok to the DCS
and we can calibrate the bad sensor.

Don't know of this is what you wanted to hear though....

[foxboro] how to prevent IOBAD during PT online calibration

hi sir
is there i can do to prevent FBM to report IOBAD during online PT
calibration. this PT is very critical as it is meant for gas metering -
therefore it's subjected to quarterly calibration. most of the time - it
has
to be carried out during plant running. is it possible to configure ECB
block so that it will be have like PLC ie. it will store "last good value"
rather than IOBAD.
