Terry,
In short YES.
I know the Foxray folks watch this list but they are usually reluctant to
chime in because it was previously interpreted as a vendor trying to pedal
his wares. They may contact you off list but let me try to answer your
question for others based on my experience with Foxray.
Among many other things, Foxray traces every connection in the system;
PERIOD. That would include control blocks, displays, historians,
annunciator keyboards, OSI PI, Infoplus.21, any PLC Gateway, etc. It also
collects any and all System Management data like LetterBug and Station
details, etc. Ditto for alarms, and on, and on... It basically uses
standard Foxboro utilities/tools (iccctsk.dvr, d_edit, histcfg, etc.) to
collect the variety of databases and stuffs them all into a SQLServer. It
then has a number of standard queries and displays, with unlimited ones you
can build yourself, to get any piece of data in the IA System in any format.
And yes it collects sequence code, calc block steps, etc. Like I said;
EVERYTHING. Whether or not you could just use one of their standard queries
and displays to do what you want or not (I suspect yes), it would not
matter. From my experience, once you buy the package, their support is
outstanding. All you have to do is send them an e-mail explaining what type
of query you need and it usually shows up within hours for free.
One of the most useful tools is the main display which allows you to select
any block and it will show/list every connection to that block (yes, even
internal sequence block calls), graphical visualization of the control block
loop (i.e., loop diagram), can call up the specific Foxboro B0193AX Control
Block Manual page for that block type, and on, and on, ... It also allows
you to print whatever you see or export it to Excel.
Hope this helps.

Data base tools like FoxRay and Integrity
If you have a system with 1000 IND sequence blocks some of the IND's are
making calls to send a display to your various WP's and you decide to
merge two WP20's or WP51'S into one (dual CRT) WP70.
Can the tools check through your code and advise you which blocks need
to be modified so that you do not try to send a display to a
non-existing letterbug?
