Thanks, Jim Kahlden, you and Patrick Martens are the Sensais. I might mess
with this file a little, but it looks like, as mentioned by Patrick, the
problem is not in the template but in the system.
I think if we are allowed 12 character compound names, 12 character tag
names, whatever-characters parameter names, and bit extensions, we should be
able
to use all those characters and still have the full bit extension able to be
displayed. Truncating a bit could have serious implications. What is
Foxboro doing about this? I can't go back through 10s of thousands of
tagnames
and shorten the ones that use all the characters allowed to work around this
problem. Think of all the possible interconnections that might be missed and
the consequences of doing this in a live plant.
