Re: [foxboro] foxboro Digest V7 #262

We do this all the time using a single calc block and only two memory =
registers. We have it reset at a designated time and day. We also use a =
little trap and hold trick to move the calc block outputs to display the =
current running average and the previous months average as well.
If you are interested contact me offline and I'll send you an excel =
spreadsheet with all of the inputs and steps.

OK, this is my first time asking for help on the Freelist.=C2=A0 I'm =
usually a "helper".=C2=A0 I have been asked to do a thirty day running =
average of a certain tag.=C2=A0 I have done four hour running averages =
with a 30 second resolution by using one CALCA block feeding =
another.=C2=A0 The first takes 20 @ 30 second snapshots and rotates them =
through 20 memories, then averaging to get a 10-minute running average =
by dropping the oldest data progressively.=C2=A0 The second takes the =
10-minute averages once every ten minutes, tracking them through 24 =
memories (this takes all 24 memories in a CALCA block and all 50 =
steps).=C2=A0 I then end up with a 4 hour running average that is =
updated every 10 minutes, with real good resolution.

Using this method I cannot figure out how to go beyond a 24 hour running =
average, updated every hour (the longest block execution period).=C2=A0 =
Is there a simple language I could use and fire up a script every 24 =
hours via CRONTAB and keep 30 registers rotating out for a running =
average?=C2=A0 I would like to keep it in Fox standard blocks, but am =
having brain freeze.=C2=A0 I don't think sequence code would help, =
either, due to the 1-hour execution limit.=C2=A0 Any help out =
there?=C2=A0 I'm hoping there's a real simple solution I'm too stupid to =
see.=C2=A0 Thanks, Rick Guercio, RGC

[foxboro] V8.2 Day1 Committed Install Questions

Subject: [foxboro] V8.2 Day1 Committed Install Questions

All Knowing List,
I am trying to perform a Day 1 Committed Install on a V8.2 AW70. The
pdated commit disk has added a ZCP270 and some FCM100s to the MESH. The
W70 I am committing is not the boot host for these stations. We do not
econcile our commits, so I chose to re-install OS7AW1 (for AW70P),
SMDW7 (SMDH), ASMON7 (system monitor), and OS1A70 (for ATS). I did
eboot the box afterwards.
Upon completion, I do not see the new mesh stations in
:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. I do not see the new stations as
tatic entries in the AW70 arp table. I can see the stations in
:\usr\fox\sp\IIF.prm, so it appears the commit did something.
Questions:
should I see the stations in the hosts file?
should I see the stations as static entries in the arp table?
where else should I look for confirmation that the committed install
ook place properly?
if the committed install left some things out, what else did it leave
ut?
Another piece of information: the SetupLog.xxx in D:\usr\fox\sp shows
wo errors: ERROR: Unable to to find D:\usr\fox\swi\ntlowertar.ksh file.
nd ERROR: Unable to to find D:\usr\fox\swi\ntinstall.ksh file. These
iles do appear to exist in the proper location. These errors were not
resent in the previous SetupLog.xxx files for the Day 0 install of
8.2.
I'd like to avoid a Day0 if possible, so any helpful ideas you have
ould be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
ave
