Reminds me of when Sperry/Unisys assigned me to design a trailerable
electronics enclosure, which they estimated would run some $20,000. At that
time
you could buy a fully loaded Honda Accord for about $8000, which is exactly
what I proposed, with me receiving the extra $12,000 as the company would not
have to spec a vehicle to tow the trailer containing the enclosure - I told
them the trunk was sufficient for the spec and that as a bonus, 5 personnel
could man the vehicle in air-conditioned comfort...
