We have two scripts working here. One for uploading all the CP's
and one for doing the save all's. SAVEALL_ddmmyy. This runs automaically
and saves it to opt/fox/ciocfg/api At the completetion the script asks
whether we
want to store the files on the other AW's. This way we have saveall's stored
on other PC's
in case the host PC crashes.

copy saved files to
floppy in a second step
The floppies and Foxboro-issued floppy drives seem to be so unreliable that
I routinely make double copies of each saveall diskette, and immediately
check
them after I make them by reading the directories right back. This isn't
foolproof, but does show you if I/A can even recognize the diskette and some
of
its contents. We always said that the floppies and drives are so
unreliable because of the typically dirty environment in which they live.
However, in
my experience, floppy drives in PC's that have lived side-by-side with the
Foxboro hardware seem to keep running, so who knows what the real story is.
Anyway, saving to any other medium than floppy is probably wise.
