I have used getpars extensively to report block parameters.  In one  case, I 
used it to generate "tuning reports" that gave the tuning parameters of  each 
control block by CP.  Done periodically, it gives a good history of a  
controller's evolution, and helps define when a particular controller's tuning  
was 
"messed with".  Getpars operates slightly differently from system to  system, 
but with a little trial and error, it's not too bad to use.  Good  luck!
