We do alot of rate-of-change monitoring ... whether it's temperature,
pressure, or level (ie, flow). I'm surprised that there is nothing built
into any block that does this. We use a simple CALC routine that samples
the point, stores it to memory, re-samples it, and uses a factor based on
the period of the CALC block.
REALM provides rate-of-change alarming, so it must have an internal value,
but I can't see that it's available as an output.
This seems like such a no-brainer that I feel like I'm missing something.
