Re: [foxboro] d_edit vs d_edit50 vs dconn

Kevin,

I went into Display builder and Display configurator and I think your right.
The engineer at the time must have added a description line into his report to
allow it to be more discernable in the future.
Can you explain if there is any difference between d_edit, d_edit50 and
dconn. I see d_edit and d_edit50 on my system. I don't know what dconn did
but see it was some type of common tool used back when these displays were put
in.
I am also don't understand the difference between the -R (report) and -L
(list) options on the D-edit command.

Timothy,

I looked back through some of my old docs and can find no reference to
a "Description" field in my d_edit -L display listings.

In the display builder and display configurator I do not recall ever
seeing anything that might be used as a Description field matching
your documentation. In Display Builder or Display Configurator what
field are you seeing the description you want to report on?

I wonder if this description was perhaps added after the reports were
generated specifically for your documentation rather than being part
of the configured display?

Regards,

Kevin FitzGerrell
