Maybe I'm the one who doesn't understand.  I'm thinking in terms of an
"export" utility or function (i.e., similar to ICCPRT), not a full-blown
reporting package.

If there's an option that lets the folks who want SQL get what they need,
and then only requires one extra simple step (and no extra software) to
generate a flat ASCII file, then I'm all for that.
