Ouch! I was thinking about saying to use the DspConventions
configuration tool also, but it would be a large amount of work to
re-configure all of the displays. We use it to change alarm background
color for all of our AIN, PID, CIN, GDEV, and REALM blocks. This all
happens by bit-mapping, (one time), the .ALMSTA parameter to your
desired color convention in the Display Convention Configurator. From
then on you just connect that convention to the background color of the
objects that you want to use it. Since all of those objects use the
same convention, you can then change the convention, (one time), and
then propagate the change to all objects at once. Our .ALMSTA convention
is configured like this:
No Alarm, Nothing Inhibited = White
Inhibited Alarm = Gray
Inactive but Unack'ed Alarm = Yellow
Active but Ack'ed Alarm = Red
Active and Unacked Alarm = Red/Light-Red Flashing
Dirk, if you use GDEV blocks you could build a convention that you could
connect to valves and motors. I think the .MMAIND parameter or maybe
the .BLKSTA parameter could give you all of the different valve status
conditions.
Unfortunately, I don't know how you can do a simple search and replace
of background or fill colors using d_edit.
Good Luck,
