Ken,
We are using standard CAT5 cables and RJ-45 patch panels from our
WP51D's in our Central Control Room to the DNBT's in our communication room
over 100ft away. We have been doing this with no apparent problem for
about
two years now.

Subject: [foxboro] cable question
We are in the process of adding a P79 AW to our existing all 51B system.
In the quote there is a 10 ft cable to connect the AW to the DNBT and is
listed as a
Cat 5 10/100 cable. 10 ft. is not going to be long enough and I was
wondering if this is
just a standard Cat 5 cable.
thanks,
Ken Moore
