        We are using WP-51D boxes with 128MB RAM running Ver. 6.2.1.  Each
box has 6 DM's with two running locally on the WP and 4 running remote on
EXCEED PC's.  The biggest issue we have is not associated with the EXCEED
PC's, but with the WP's ability to correctly handle Motif displays such as
the Alarm Manager.  The ability to enter alpha or numeric values into DM
windows is intermittently lost on either the WP51 DM or the Exceed PC DM.
On the PC's, the keyboard continues to function in other Windows
applications but not in the EXCEED DM window.  Sometimes we are able to
"Dismiss" the Alarm Manager using the mouse and then the keyboard will begin
to function in the DM window.  At other times we have had to reboot the WP
which always fixes it for awhile.  We have some AW's and WP's that don't
have alarms directed to them and thus the Alarm Manager isn't used.  We
don't have any keyboard lockups associated with local WP or remote PC
keyboards on those boxes.  There were a number of workarounds issued to try
to address those problems butthe cures were worse than the disease.  I have
an active CAR submitted on this problem but have little hope for a real
solution anymore.  Maybe it will be solved when the browser based HMI is
released:)

Jaime,
How much RAM do you have in your WP's,
we are running WP51B boxes with 2 PC clients off of each.
However each WP has been upgraded to 256meg RAM.

We use PC-Exceed for the same main reason than everybody: Costs.
But we have issues with this config. We have 4 WP51B with one PC-Exceed
each, and sometimes the PC crashes, or the WP "slows down" when both
operators use them...we need to reset most of the times...

I don't see this among your experiences...our versions maybe ?
