The "who" command will return the IP unless it can find a reference for
that IP in the hosts files.
The who am i command is useful when setting up a remote draw for an
X-window
function if you do not know the IP of your local station and need to set
a DISPLAY variable.
I have not tried the latest Solaris but it certainly worked on IA V6.5
and V7.1.

Subject: [foxboro] Who
In version 6.5.3, "who" returns who is connected with an IP address or
name.
In V7.1.3 "who" doesn't return IP address or name. Is there another
command
to use or options?
Thanks in advance,
Brian Long
