Frits,

/dev/fb0 (and /dev/fb1 on dual headed boxes) are linked to the video drivers,
so ls -l /dev/fb0 should show:
 lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root 10 Jan 13 08:57 /dev/fb0 ->
fbs/cgsix0

B boxes normally had cgsix frame buffer (GX or Turbo GX video cards), although
I commonly see CGthree cards in B boxes (probably migrated from A boxes).

You can also browse the messages files:
dmesg | egrep '(cgthree|cgsix)' to see your video cards.

You're probably running both cards at 1152x900x76. To see the refresh rate dig
into the output of:
# prtconf -vp
or, download the fbinfo script from Sun at:
http://www.sunhelp.org/faq/progs/fbinfo

In most cases you shouldn't have to set the video resolution. Default
resolution is set by returned sense code according to the following:
Code TGXplus(1) TGX(2) GXplus GX (LSC chip)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
7 1152x900x66 1152x900x66 1152x900x66 1152x900x66
6 1152x900x76 1152x900x76 1152x900x76 1152x900x76
5 1024x768x60 1024x768x60 1152x900x66 1152x900x66
4 1152x900x76 1152x900x76 1280x1024x67 1152x900x76
3 1152x900x66 1152x900x66 1152x900x66 1152x900x66
2 1280x1024x76 1152x900x66 mutant(3) mutant(3)
1 1600x1280x76 1152x900x66 mutant(4) mutant(4)
0 1024x768x77 1024x768x77 1152x900x66 1152x900x66

Setting B box video card resolutions is not trivial. D and E boxes have
command line tools (m64config, ffbconfig and GFXconfig), but B boxes need
changes made to the eeprom. To reset the resolution on the primary video card
you can do:
# eeprom output-device=screen:r1152x900x66
and reboot, or at the Forth toolkit ok> prompt:
ok> setenv output-device screen:r1152x900x66
and boot.

To set the second video card resolution, see the Sun Frame Buffer FAQ
description at:
http://www.sunhelp.org/faq/FrameBuffer.html#2b
