The Foreign Device Gateway can be set up to talk almost any protocol. It's difficult to get set up but once you get it up and running it is very reliable. -----Original Message----- From: stan [mailto:stanb@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, September 30, 2002 8:13 AM To: foxboro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [foxboro] Westinghoouse IQ-1000 II On Fri, Sep 27, 2002 at 12:52:26PM -0700, Balmer, Robert D. wrote: > > I am trying to figure out a method of bringing the information into our > Foxboro system from three Westinghouse IQ1000 II. Westinghouse sells (oe sold) a gateway to that netwrok, conceptually similar to an AB 177-KF2. We then talk RS-232, using that protocol to them. I'm not certain how you would get this done in IA. Hope that helps. BTW on our IQ's the network module is an add on peice for each IQ. -- "They that would give up essential liberty for temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." -- Benjamin Franklin _______________________________________________________________________ This mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
