Re: [foxboro] WYSE 5150SE Terminal

Kevin,

I was hoping to use the 5150SE in place of the NCD900 that we
currently use. I am going to set up
the Font Server that Fritz sent me and see how it compares. Price wise it
already beats the NCD900. It would be
nice to have the fonts stored on the 5150SE terminal instead of having to
use the font server. If this works out
I will have to explore that option.

Regards,

Jim

Jim,

On the older WYSE Linux terminals we've just copied the fonts to a writable
portion of the file system. It doesn't look like that will be possible by
the
end user on the 5150SE.

WYSE has said they will prepare custom images for these Linux terminals. A
custom image with the Foxboro fonts SHOULD be a trivial change, it may be
worth
checking with WYSE on this, especially if you intend to use a number of
these.
