Re: [foxboro] WP20 display size constraints

I don't know about a document, but I can tell you that a group generates a
record in the display file. Each record consumes space. So, you will reclaim
space if you ungroup.

Subject: [foxboro] WP20 display size constraints

Hey gang,

I think I've been using FoxDraw too long.

I've got an old, display manager, display and I am trying to add an
updating text field to it. I can do this on the WP50 and it works
fine. When I try to convert the display for some WP30s I get a message
from convdisp2_20 saying maximum display size exceeded by 48 bytes.

I seem to recall that there was some documentation concerning this. I
thought it was a helpful hint, but I could be wrong. Something like
ungrouping saved space, or maybe it was grouping, I don't remember. I
searched the TAC website, but didn't find what I am looking for. (I don't
think the helpful hints regarding bpatching convdisp2_20 will help in this
case.)

Can anyone point me to a document concerning optimizing display manager
displays for memory size? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
David Johnson
