Here's a quick test:
At the OpenBoot prompt ('ok') type "watch-clock". The screen will read
the real time clock and display the ticking on the screen. If it fails
or increments erratically, then there's a good chance that you need an
NVRAM. Otherwise, you may be in store for a new motherboard and/or CPU.
You might even consider exchanging the whole thing for a refurbished
Ultra 5/10.
