The VNC server, the latest VNC server for linux is compiled against
Xorg. As of XFree86 V4 backing store was not enabled which is fine for
modern X Windows applications but breaks many Foxboro remote draw
applications. The buttons disappear if the window is iconised or another
window is dragged over the top.
If you find an old version of the VNC server that was compiled against
XFree86 V3.2 you don't have problems with buttons. The same applies to
the Sun version if you want the VNC server to operate on the AW or WP
and have the buttons work.
