They will work.  It just isn't supported and you may get unpredictable results 
at times.  Be sure you don't have a vt100 on port 4.

is it possible to host a COMM 10 modul on a MESH-AW70 and use it with the
same functionality like before? 

The Release Notes says: 

MESH based workstations can host across the ATS: 
* COMM 10 - for Foxwatch Support 

Does it mean it isn't anymore a lineprinter it is only useful in combination
with Foxwatch?
