Fortunately short pins on the infra-red/PDA letterbugs can no longer be a
problem, so no QC problem here any longer  ....... until you find a FCP270
with the wrong MAC address printed on the front sticker!!!!

After struggling for some time my eye caught the sticker on the foot of the
FCP which also shows the MAC address (you can only see this if unplugged).
This one was correct.

Fair to say I got a personal apology from Invensys QC 

What is the anticipated life cycle of XCP270 series as compared to PDA's.
Are we going to have to upgrade CP's because we can't get letterbugs in them
any longer?

Indeed, what's wrong with the Micro I/A approach?
