Re: [foxboro] Using Exceed 6.2 on Windows XP

Exceed 5.1 works, sort of -- just look at any XP AW70.

I'm by no means an expert on this subject, but I believe you'll need
Exceed
Ver 8.0 as a minimum to run correctly on Windows XP. There is a good
HH1000
and something on the CSC site to step you through the setup. Works fine
for
me on both FV and DM. Good luck.

Subject: [foxboro] Using Exceed 6.2 on Windows XP

Hi. We are moving to Windows XP from Windows 2000 shortly and are using
Exceed 6.2 to view I/A displays. I have performed the same steps to
configure Exceed 6.2 to work on Windows 2000 (compiling font database,
removing Automatic Font Substitution, using PseudoColor for Server Visual
on
Screen Def.). This seems to work for displays on I/A systems with
Foxview,
but not for I/A systems with Display Manager. The markers don't appear on
the screen correctly (they become numbers instead of arrows, etc.). The
fonts also don't appear correctly. Has anyone been able to use Exceed 6.2
on Windows XP to view I/A displays with Display Manager? If so, please
let
me know what steps you had to take to get it working. Thanks for the
help!
