You are not wrong there, Steve.
In my case I would not think that the 50 or so OM overruns a week would
have an effect on the hundereds of API calls make per day.

to try and troubleshoot OM problems.  We use OM sets and gets in both C
code and sequence blocks quite a bit.  My experience is that, regardless
of
apparent loading, you cannot execute a bunch of OM calls back-to-back
without running into problems.
