Re: [foxboro] Unlinked Input Secured Error

Jeff,

You should also read the specifications for LOCSW and REMSW. These two
parameters may give you much more flexibility for controlling the local or
remote setpoint than merely using the LR parameter.

Do you want it to "control" down to zero, or go immediately to zero?

Control down: tie the .rsp to a register in another block that has a zero value.

Go down fast: instead of the LR use tracking, with tracking you can use 0.0.

I use the last method on a few flow loops, I use tracking to rapidly open the
valve to 25%,
then when the pump has settled, turn tracking off and the PIDA starts
controlling from 25 instead of 0.

Subject: [foxboro] Unlinked Input Secured Error

I received this error after making a new connection.  Can anyone tell me what
this error means?  I made a boolean connection to the LR parameter on a PIDA
block.  I have RSP set to 0.0 in the block.  When LR goes true, I want the
setpoint to become 0.  What am I missing here?

Thanks,
Jeff
