Re: [foxboro] Trends: Updating the historian

Hi,

How about editing first the gd_blk50.db (/usr/fox/wp/data) to change the
trend historian name assignments (TLn_HIST=), and then using g_edit50?
See also the Display Engineer 50 User Document.
This ofcourse works only for the old DM. For FoxView you might do it
somewhat simpler (using .g file to make a text substitution).

Good luck.
Oh yes, d_edit(50) can't do it. I guess it felt out of the scope.

Subject: [foxboro] Trends: Updating the historian

Hi,

a display with trends contains information about the historian.

Has someone build a script to change the historian names in trend
display?

g_edit -u allows me updating the display but doesn't resolves the
correct historian name

d_edit -$LineNumber /$hist_old/$hist_new/ $DISPLAYFILE
allows it to modify the entry but requires a lot of additional things

Regards
Andreas
