He he. Nice lead-in to the weekend for an AW70/XP luser (i.e., me ;-).
Fortunately I only use it as an OPC gateway, and it does that all right if
you remove the keyboard and mouse, but then again nothing beats the thrill
of all your OPC points turning red when you get in Windows Explorer and do
a file search.
And my account manager wonders why I don't want to jump all over Windows
I/A...

[foxboro] The latest and greatest from 1996?
Hello all,
I recently had an opportunity to work on a brand new XP based AW. I
was amazed at all of the new functionality that Exceed version 5
brings to the table. Now with full NT support. Very nice. And the
MKS toolkit for unix emulation..... I didn't know a version that old
would run on XP. I guess this saves money, since they don't have to
re-qualify software, EVER. I think it's also shipping with VISI-CALC
and a PAC-MAN game too.
Come on Alex, here's an opportunity to get some of the compelling
windows based applications (your words not mine) to make me want to
upgrade. You don't even have to use the latest version, but try to
get one released in the last 5 years.
I'm sure that upgrades will be included in the Windows VISTA release
currently scheduled for 2020 (assuming VISTA ships prior to 2008).
Regards,
David
