Re: [foxboro] That DM to FoxView Conversion Tool

Gcconvert is a good program! The comment I have is that the path for the
display files are user selectable. You can use /usr/disp if you want in
FoxView. /opt/menu turns out not to be a good choice for file location for
most plant.

The reason Invensys suggest to put the user files under the /opt directory is
because it is a directory not use as much by the Invensys folks compare to
./usr. (Yes, it is used for /opt/fox/ciocfg etc!).

If you move the display files to (let say) ./usr/disp and do a dump, you will
notice that the display path name is shown as what ever directory it is located.

Another comment is that the display file may still retain the old path names.
A D_EDIT will fix this. I have tried to run a script on converting file path
in a whole directory for another customer and it is a lot faster than one file
at a time.

I am curious how do you convert the DM markers (valve, pump etc) to FoxView
because it does not have a marker set like DM?
