We have NT 4.0 on our LAN and I suffered numerous blue screens of death as
well as DLL hell I suppose for home use it may be OK although MAC is a
better choice depending on what your doing , but for critical operations you
need a stable platform such as UNIX. I've got an old SPARC station thats
been in operation since 1990 without any problems. Put my vote in for a UNIX
type platform.
