Re: [foxboro] Starting an AIM Historian Instance through VT100

nohup apistart

BTW, apistart should start only AIM*API not this historian itself.

When starting AIM Historian from a VT100 environment try the following.

Go to /opt/aim/bin and run the following

apistart nohup

nohup tells the program not to hang up when the VT100 window is closed.
Without it the apisvr.tcp process will shut down when the window is closed.

I had this problem a few years ago and this is what I had in my notes.

Hope it helps
