You could use the tool

 /usr/openwin/bin/xwd 

to get a Solaris X-dump. Then use the command

/usr/openwin/bin/xwd2pnm

to create a portable bitmap format.

Then compress it and put it to a floppy.

On a windows PC use a unzip program to decompress the image file.

A graphic program can now read the portable bitmap format from the Solaris
machine.

I have used "snapshot&" command in VT100 on our AW51E and found the image to
be o.k when the image is saved in TIFF format. Try TIFF format I hope this
will help you.
