Re: [foxboro] Shrink Issue

Thanks Alex, I have already done this on an offline system and the shrink
issue went away. Any idea on how this can happen? What is strange is that
it occured on all CP's in one specific node, all hosted by the same AP51B.

My opinion is that it's not a good thing.

Shrink walks the same tree of files and pointers that SAVE ALL does. A
problem shrinking could be a symptom of other problems down the line.

The "correct" thing to do would be:

1) Save all
2) Test on a backup machine
3) Initialize
4) Reboot
5) Load all

There's a write-up in the archive another procedure. Search on Workfile.

I have a few CP's that give me an error when performing a shrink, the upload
and saveall seem to be fine. Foxboro is telling me that as long as the
upload and saveall are working ok not to worry about the shrink. Any
opinions? On an offline system I have verified that the saveall's from the
CP's in question are good. Initially Foxboro thought that the workfile was
too large and possibly corrupt.
