Andreas, you've probably noticed that the ls -l command only gives the time
for more recent files (the year is assumed to be current). Older files give
the year, but not the time. I'm not sure what criterion the system uses to
determine what is old or new ... it seems to be 1 month, but I never looked
that closely.
