If you have FoxNet at your site you can interface with a special tool - if it
is still available. If Invensys / Foxboro cannot provide it, check with one of
the process system repair companies who re-sell hardware on the Internet.
My recollection is that to work with FoxNet, you want a tool developed by Alex
Johnson. I don't remember what it was called but it had an ethernet connection
to an AW and another connection to FoxNet. Alex also had a tool called AOS
(Application Objects ....) that allowed you to take those Interspec points
(Meas, Setpoint, Out) and declare them in the C:B.P format for IA.
The site where I was involved with this product ran quite well until they just
plain ran out of room in SPECTRUM and had to expand to newer hardware so tossed
the SPECTRUM then.
If you don't have FoxNet at your site, then you need to look at something else.
I might be tempted to try tapping the 1-5 V dc off the SPEC200 IO cards. Ensure
either the SPEC200 is isolated or your 1-5V input card is isolated and
distances are kept really short.
Most sites that I knew who used Spectrum Master Gateway were never happy with
the performance.
