Re: [foxboro] Sequence Block Goes to Manual

You need to add an exception handler to your sequence code.

I have a write-up that - among other things - describes the issues involved
in using DMCMD to run a program. I'll send it to you off list.

If others want it - it hasn't changed since the last time this came up -
send me a note off-list. I won't fill on-list requests.

Subject: [foxboro] Sequence Block Goes to Manual

I have an IND sequence block that requests our AW (32AW01 in this case) to
run a script called "control_stk".
:32AW01DMCMD := "dmcmd" script /usr/applic/control_stk";

If the AW is down, the sequence block goes to MANUAL. Is there a good
way to prevent this? In my case, I would rather the sequence block ignore
the fact that the AW is down, and continue to process like normal. Can I
force the IND block to stay in AUTO through an address on the MA
parameter?
