We're not using the self hosting feature either, we upgraded from 8.3 to 
8.4.2 to get up to date. We have ZCP270's but also some CP60's so we chose 
not to enable the self hosting bit

using self-hosting.

We are in the process of installing new I/A equip (P92, fcp270, fbms
incl FDSI, etc.) and s/w (8.4.2) in a somewhat remote (often unmanned)
utility control room. We are interested in implementing the 'self
hosting' feature of FCP270 (not depending on download from host in case
of power loss, reboot), but have heard rumors that this feature was not
quite 'there' yet. 

What are other users (site personnel & field service reps; i.e. not
sales) real world experience with this relatively new feature?  Any and
all input would be greatly appreciated...
