GoGlobal is much faster. We sell it as part of our dialup solution - FoxRemote Configurations 1, 2, and 3. Hummingbird's eXceed works over dialup, but with FV you see significant performance hit relative to GoGlobal on a phone line. I'm under the impression that unlike Hummingbird, and Exceed (which are native Microsoft Windows X servers, that speak native X client server protocol), Go Global is different in at least 2 major ways. 1. It requires both a client and server obtained from them, and speaks a porpretory protocol over the network between them. 2. Using Go Global lets me have the entire Solaris desktop on my PC, with having to use xdm on the Sun side. Are these correct? What if any is the advantage of using Go Global (either for me as an end suer, or Foxboro) instead of a genuine X server on my PC? -- "They that would give up essential liberty for temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." -- Benjamin Franklin _______________________________________________________________________ This mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
