My first guess would be: Are you running the eXceed session/Xterminal as 
"root" or "ia"?
The "ia" account has more restricted privileges. This shows when you want to 
run a script from an X-terminal. Not an elegant way is to give the "ia" 
account "root" privileges by changing the userid in the /etc/passwd file to 
the one "root" has (0).
No need for this if you already run as "Root"
To check: open a terminal from DM/FoxView: if the prompt is "#" you are likely 
"root", if it shows "$" you are problably not.
