Re: [foxboro] Restoring on AW51D, Hard disk size difference

Thanks Terry,
Turns out the problem I was running in to was configuring more cylinders
than the disk had logically available. When I follow your procedure below
with 16383 cylinders instead of 16708 I have no problems.

So, for Seagate ST320143A to re-label as ST38410A I did the following:

from OK prompt: boot cdrom and log in as root.

format
pick disk - 0 in my case as I did this booting to CD
type - 10 (other on the 6.4 day0 CD)
cyl 16381
alt 2
phy cyl 16383
hd 16
sect 63
rpm 5400
pick defaults for next few
name "ST38410A"
part
2
backup
wu
0
16381c
label
y
q
label
y
q

All done.

Proceed with ia_install and no problems - remembering to Day0 with PGX32 2nd
video installed so the drivers will be loaded and copying
/cdrom/name_to_major to the new /etc directory so my WP51D will boot.

Thanks,

Kevin
