Re: [foxboro] Resetting graphics optimization for FoxView?

Lieven,

Thanks for that. Unfortunately, at 5-10 seconds per graphic I'm still faced
with 6-12 hours to optimize the displays on a workstation... At this plant
area, I normally do upgrades and other work during day shuts, however, the
operators and maintenance still need access to the graphics during shuts.

I'm afraid I still need to find a more efficient solution before we can justify
converting the site's ~150 Display Managers to FoxView.

At the moment I'm pursuing a dedit solution. It's my understanding that dedit
clears the optimization from a graphic whenever an edit is made. I'm going to
try a few dedit sequences like dump/upload or e/enable and see if they clear the
optimization, as these take a fraction of a second per graphic. As long as I
can efficiently clear the optimization, the extra second or so it takes to
re-optimize a graphic on first call-up I can live with.
