You need P91 boxes to host the FoxView instances. This functionality is
available under Windows 2003 Server only.

You need MS Windows Terminal Services CALs to enable the software
functionality.

You need a network connection between the P91 machine and the client
machine. This implies an "extra" NIC in the P91 and some work to ensure
the security of the control system. We offer such services through our
Performance Solutions group or your IT department might be able to help.

There is an add-in for Internet Explorer that can be used on the client
machine. This means that the client must be a Windows PC running
Internet Explorer, you aren't going to do this with a Linux box.

I do not use the IE add-in; I normally use Remote Desktop on my client
to access the remote machine since this allows me to avoid installing
any software on the client machine.

List,

I need help from you Windoze gurus out there!

I am an old X-Windows user, but have been told when I migrate my UNIX
boxes to Windows that for my "View Only" clients I can set it up so that
they can look at the DCS screens using there web browser. Is this true?
Is there additional software, other than Terminal Server that I need?

I'll be starting a UNIX to Windows upgrade (?) in about two weeks and
would like to have my non-tech users be able to fire off there browser
and connect to the DCS system.

Thanks men!

Troy
