Re: [foxboro] Red background of PIDA block .MEAS

I tried both of those, and got nowhere. The PIDA manual says that the
BAD bit in .BLKSTA only gets set when the output is bad, not the input.
This was tested, and the manual appears to be correct. The faceplate
was of no help whatsoever. It just shows the Text Contents connection
to the .MEAS, with no background color configuration. I'm thinking it's
something pretty deep in the software, and we may not be able to access
that particular status bit with FoxView, but I thought I'd try the list
anyway.

I don't have time to look myself, but I suggest you look at BLKSTA.
My guess is that it's a bit in that word.

Look at how the faceplate is configured. That may also help you find
it.

List,

Does anyone know what status bit is set in a PIDA block when the AIN
that is connected to the .MEAS goes bad that makes the .MEAS background
turn red? We want that to not only turn red, but to display a line of
dashes, similar to what Honeywell points do when they go bad. We
figured we could just put a red rectangle with dashes in it that has its
visibility set to whatever status bit is causing the red background, but
I've been looking through the block descriptions, and I can't locate it.
Our new graphic works great for AIN blocks, because AIN's have a BAD bit
in their .BLKSTA (and a .BAD parameter), but PIDA's do not, at least not
one that changes when you flip the incoming .MEAS from good to bad.
